Things To Do In Seattle

The Wedding Website of Lucy Charlotte Lennon Penfold and Jared Lee Pletcher
While we'll have planned activities throughout the weekend, there will also be plenty of time to relax or explore Seattle at your own pace!

Seattle Aquarium

1483 Alaskan Way Pier 59, Seattle, WA 98101

If you’re looking for something fun to do while you’re in Seattle, we highly recommend a visit to the Seattle Aquarium, located right on the waterfront! We went here on one of our very first dates, which makes sense on how we now have 5 fish tanks (haha). The aquarium just added on a new building with many tropical fish that we highly recommend checking out! It is also located within a 10 minute walk of Pike Place and the wheel, so there are many activities and things to see nearby.

Pike Place Market

85 Pike St, Seattle, WA 98101

On another one of our very first dates, we went to Pike Place Market! We love coming here to get some of our favorite tea from MarketSpice (we highly recommend trying the cinnamon-orange tea), going to Beechers for their mac and cheese, and getting shrimp cocktail from one of the local fish stands to eat as we walk through! It is also located right next to the new waterfront park and the aquarium!

Woodland Park Zoo

750 N 50th St, Seattle, WA 98103

The Woodland Park Zoo is located in the neighborhood of Phinney Ridge, a 20 minute drive north of downtown Seattle! We love coming here to see all the different animals, some of our favorite exhibits include the tropical bird sanctuary, the penguins, and the gorillas (sometimes if the baby gorilla is out she twirls around which is pretty cute!). The zoo is located near many restaurants, shops, and Greenlake as well.

Ballard Farmers Market

5345 Ballard Avenue Northwest, Seattle, WA 98107

If you’re willing to do something Sunday before the wedding, we would highly recommend spending the morning at the Ballard Farmers Market! Open from 9 am- 2 pm, this market is packed with produce, fresh flowers, food, and handmade goods, all set along Ballard Avenue with lots of cute shops as well. We would recommend grabbing a coffee granita from Cafe Umbria as you walk through the market! It’s a great way to start the day and experience one of Lucy's FAVORITE weekend traditions.
