The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time for parking and walking to the venue. There will be another event held in the area at Yorktown Battlefield, so allow time for traffic! Please view "Where Should I Park My Vehicle Upon Arrival"
Ample parking is available throughout town. Please obey all parking regulations by using the designated County public parking lots (i.e., Administration Building, Courthouse/Finance and York Hall), as well as the National Park Service Visitor Center parking area. Parking on the grass, side streets, post office, and other areas not marked for parking is prohibited. The parking at Riverwalk Landing is a 270-space two level parking terrace. The lower level of the terrace has a three-hour parking limit, with the upper deck being unlimited. Handicapped parking is available on the lower level of the terrace and in all other public lots. Since there is no handicap parking directly in front of the venue, I suggest dropping off any family or friends in need at the front, then go park. The National Park Service will be hosting an event at the Yorktown Battlefield on the same day from 3:00 PM to about 9:00 PM, with their parking taking place on the Battlefield. This will not interfere with our celebration at the Freight Shed. However, if parking near the venue fills up, we have reserved additional guest parking at the Bluff parking area just up the street (map above). A staff member will be there to direct and ensure this lot is available exclusively for our guests. To avoid possible traffic around the Battlefield, we recommend entering from Route 17 at Alexander Hamilton Blvd. or Mathews Street instead of Cook Rd. (View gallery)
Due to the smaller venue size, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests or children. Unless we've specifically reached out or noted otherwise, only those whose names are listed on the invitation will be able to attend. We appreciate your understanding!
Cocktail hour attire (semi-formal) means we’re dressing up—just not black tie fancy. For the ladies, think cocktail dresses, semi-formal dresses, jumpsuits, or a nice skirt and top combo.(no white ;)) For the guys, slacks with a button-up or a blazer works perfectly (ties are optional).
