Scott Wasden
Best Man
Scott is the oldest of the Wasden boys and one of my best friends. Although there are almost 6 years between us, our friendship was able to blossom as I got into my teenage years and we shared a love of movies such as 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' 'Harry Potter' and 'Batman.' Scott has always offered me a listening ear and sound advice as our friendship grew from me having a second father to a best friend. Scott is currently a firefighter living in West Kelowna with his wife Stephanie.
AJ Lefebre
Maid of Honor
AJ is my younger sister and my best friend! We did everything together growing up, from volleyball to swimming, other than accounting, anything I could do AJ could do better. This led her to have a long volleyball career that started with playing to now coaching. Coaching volleyball has ignited a passion in AJ as she loves to help others - she spent many hours during university volunteering with the HOPE outreach program and topped my JDC experience with a 2nd place finish in the Not for Profit case competition. Our family has traveled most of North America and parts of the World together and as most of you know, this was done in a car or camper. My fondest childhood memories all share the same factor as they all include AJ. She is the best little sister and dog auntie we could ask for.
Bennett Wasden

Bennett is in the middle of the 3 Wasden boys, and while some say the middle child is sometimes lost, Bennett is the exception as he is the definition of tall, dark and handsome. I am very proud to have him as a brother and best friend. In our younger years, Bennett and I did not always see eye to eye and our friendship was really able to flourish when Scott moved away for hockey. Bennett was often my chauffeur when he got his license in high school and even ended up driving me to university on his victory lap and in my first year. Bennett is currently living in Kelowna working as a banker with his wife Maureen.
Shenelle Tamminen

Shenelle and I became friends during highschool volleyball during which she was signing a University Basketball scholarship and I was at the end of a below average volleyball career. Our families quickly became close as our parents spent weeknights in a gym watching us and our sister's volleyball games. After long debates and lots of influence from Shenelle's father, I ended up joining her at UBCO for University - so thank you George for indirectly introducing me to Jared! Shenelle and I lived together for all 4 years of my degree and to this day i'd rather share a bed with her than Jared (you try sleeping with someone with a CPAP). We have made so many memories together including travelling the UK for 7 weeks and I am forever grateful for her selfless friendship!
Brad Rendulic

Brad is my longest standing friend who does not share blood. Brad and I were neighbors as children and share many memories spending time together before and after school days, gallivanting through the streets of bayview, and making daily trips to the corner store for slurpees and 5 cent candy. Brad is a man of many opinions and is always up for a debate - don't get him started about his golf game & don't be fooled by his attire on the course. Brad is currently living in West Kelowna with ... his parents Matt & Gerry.
Kirstin Townsend

Kirst and I became friends by fluke when she moved in with Shenelle and I during 2nd year university. At first we weren't quite sure of what to think of the tiny girl from small town Castlegar - or as we like to call it "the gar". It only took 1 weekend trip to Seattle and getting lost on the Crowsnest Pass to really solidify our friendship and from that moment on we were officially a trio. Kirst used to be famous for her dance moves and winning twerking competitions at Level Night Club, and now you can find her hanging in a grey leopard robe in our spare room. She has recently taken on the role as Denver's dog auntie, which she thrives in thanks to her experience as a dog ambassador. She is the kindest individual you will ever meet and I can't imagine my life without my tiny friend!
Greg McLean

Greg is one of my longest friends as we had the pleasure of meeting in grade school. Greg and I have spent years of birthdays together, many late nights drinking iced tea which eventually evolved into adult iced tea and other than Kass I don't think I've shared a bed with anyone more than Greg. After our third year of University, Greg, Kyle and I were even able to travel some of the world together. Greg is a very important friend in my life, but our friendship goes much deeper as Greg's parents were such important figures in my young life and did so much for all of our friends growing up. Greg resides in Edmonton with his fiancée Rachelle and dog Enzo!
Carlee Knight

Carlee is my longest standing friend and has loved me through my ugliest stages of life (although I have also returned the favor). We met during the summer of 2000 when my dad first started sponsoring Chuckwagon racing and spent summers together for the next 8 years following the circuit around Alberta and Saskatchewan. Our lifelong friendship was built within the walls of a camper which has transitioned to spending Sundays at the dog park in -22. What fascinates me most about Carlee is her flawless transition from being in rain gear driving a bobcat, to NICU scrubs putting a CPAP in a 28 week old baby, to tearing up the dance floor at Ranchmans. She is one of the most compassionate people i've ever met and truly gives the best hugs!
Jozef Vogel

Joe is one of the coolest, smartest and most athletic guys in any room he is in. Joe and I met in grade 7 at GMS and instantly became brothers and sepi's for life. Joe has changed my life in a number of ways - as soon as we met he was influencing my music decisions, showing me more than just country and hits 1, Joe showed me that the sport of soccer isn't always that bad, and even let me wear some of his sneakers in grade 9 basketball games. Joe carries himself with a quiet confidence and although he is not always the most talkative guy in the room, Joe is one of those guys I can talk to about anything in my life at anytime and know I will always receive an honest opinion and sound advice. Joe is currently living his best life as an accountant in the Caymans.
Robyn Guenette

Similar to Shenelle, my friendship with Robyn began on a volleyball court in high school. Although she is small, Robyn had a big personality on the court and quickly earned the nickname "Coach Carter". Moving to Kelowna for University never seemed to effect our friendship as we always picked right back up from where we left off. Some of my favorite memories made with Robyn have been at her family cabin in central Alberta and her flying in for my 19th birthday in Kelowna. We will laugh until our stomach's hurt and love a good Cactus Club happy hour after work on Stephen Avenue. She is the most loyal friend you could ever ask for and will stand by your side through thick and thin!
Connor MacRae

Connor and I met in the same grade 7 class @GMS. Connor is an incredibly bright and empathetic guy who is probably the most mature and well put together guy in this motley crew of a wedding party. Connor moved away to Victoria for University, but through those years our friendship never faltered and we have many memories together during winter and summer breaks. Connor is a man of many names among our friends as he has been known to look out for us like an 'Auntie/Uncy', drive us in the number of Tahoe's as a chauffeur, taught us all how to surf as the surf master, and received his masters from UVic officially coining Master Connie. Connor currently lives in Kelowna with his fiancee Taylor - Shout out Don & Kim MacRae for all their graciousness to our friends.
Brittany Steel

Brittany is my cousin by blood, but one of my older sister's at heart. With our mom's being twins and living 10 minutes from each other growing up, myself, Britt, and our younger sister's never really could consider ourselves cousins and instead coined the term "Sissy's". We made so many memories growing up spending the summer at their house in Mckenzie Lake and camping at the Calgary Stampede. In 2014, I was lucky enough to stand up as one of Britt's Bridesmaids as she married her best friend and I am so lucky she is returning the favour. Brittany has been a huge part of my life in its entirety and I have loved watching her transition into her new role as a Mom. Brittany puts her heart into everything she does and is always willing to put others before herself!
Kyle Flint

Kyle Flint (Flinter) is one of the most selfless guys on this planet, he would literally give you the shirt off his back. Grade 7 was a big year for me and my friends as I also met Kyle at GMS. Kyle and I share some unique memories together through the years - golfed in multiple golf tournaments and provincial championships together, traveled parts of south east Asia and I had the honor of standing by his side as a groomsman and 1/2 of the M/C group at his wedding this past summer. Kyle is a Red Seal pipe fitter who has recently accepted a job in Kelowna for the first time in years so he is able to start his life with his new wife Kristen and their dog Ruben.
Ashleigh Cerny

Ashleigh is also a member of the "Sissy" group, as she is Brittanys younger sister. She and I have always had a strong relationship and being 2 years older, showed me how to work my first curling wand and put on makeup. To this day, she is who I would turn to for any cosmetic advice. Ashleigh loved to dance and was a cheerleader for the Calgary Stampeders and Roughnecks for a number of championship season's. Her cheerleading career, introduced her to her now fiance, Russel. Our Sunday's are often spent at Britt and Cameron's house with Ashleigh and Russ watching Football. Ashleigh brightens up every room she enters with her infectious smile and warm personality.
