Our story is a classic tale of best friends that became something more. We don't remember the first time we actually met and have so many connections and intertwined stories it's anyone guess. It all really started when Jen moved to Houston and Jared was roommates with her twin sister's now husband. We started hanging out more and more and quickly became really good friends. While we both had feelings for each other for several months, we were both too scared and nervous to take it to the next step. We credit our relationship to one friend who encouraged us to take a chance. With a little liquid courage, one weekend four years ago changed it all. Since then, we haven't stopped laughing, going on adventures and falling more in love each day.

There were three important details Jen wanted for the proposal: 1. Involve Jessica 2. Not in public 3. Keep it about us. Jared went above and beyond the checklist. Even though Jen is the hardest person to surprise with plans, somehow Jared pulled off the perfect surprise proposal. While Jen was enjoying pedicures with her sister she thought she planned, Jared was busy at home getting everything set up. When she arrived home clueless to what was about to happen, Lucy greeted her with the bandana. Once she realized what was going on, she saw the rose petal trail to their bedroom where Jared was waiting on one knee surrounded by more roses and candles. The surprises continued all weekend with a Friday night out just for them downtown and a party on Saturday with friends and family.
