Jared and Jenna grew up in the Innisfail/Bowden area. Being from neighbouring small towns, these two were well aware of each other for some time. Jenna also grew up dancing with Jared's sister, so Jared got the joy of seeing Jenna at all the dance recitals. Both went off into the world after graduating highschool in 2008 only to cross paths again in 2019. In 2013, Jared completed his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U of A, and then obtained his P.Eng. shortly after. Since graduating, he has been working in the petroleum industry, allowing him to travel around the continent through the eyes of an oilman. Jenna on the other hand, caught the travel bug and went off to see the world through the eyes of a backpacker. This inspired her to become a flight attendant, yet her fascination for flying didn't end there. In fact, their second date was spent celebrating Jenna's completion of her commercial pilot license. Currently, she is a qualified flight instructor and first officer for a charter company. Fast forward three years later, they're best friends, true loves, and badass partners in life! Now they are ready to make it official!

Jared proposed on a getaway to Whistler, BC. After convincing Jenna to take the long way to the restaurant, he brought her to the most romantic location along Nita Lake, nestled in the mountains. Jared had prearranged an amazing photographer and event planner to make this a truly special moment. And yes, Jenna was pleasantly surprised! Since then they have been lovin' their engaged life together!
