Many love stories begin with a damsel in distress and a brave man coming to her rescue. Our story is similar, just with a lot more distress and a lot more bravery. Every man waits for the perfect moment when he can save a beautiful girl in a desperate situation, and thats just what happened. What was supposed to be just another get together amongst friends quickly changed as I turned the corner and saw her for the very first time. It was at this moment I knew my life would change forever if I could bring myself to speak to her. I needed a reason to break the ice but I had nothing, I was too struck by her beauty to even remember my own name. This is when I noticed the distress she was under. As she was frantically trying to open a wine bottle, I knew this would be my moment. This would be the moment when I would get to be the hero and rescue a girl from a life or death situation, instantly making her fall in love with me. I walked up and offered my assistance and to my surprise she smiled. As I uncorked the bottle of wine, her face lit up as she looked at me. I couldn't tell if she was in love with the wine or with me but I knew we had something special. Trying to keep my nerves steady as I poured two glasses we began to talk. The more we talked the more disappointed I became. I thought to myself, there was no way this girl would take a liking to me. It was almost as if she was out of a movie, I couldn't find a thing wrong with her. How could this girl fall for someone like me? As the night came to an end, I figured this love story was over. But what love story would this be if the hero who saved the girl walked away empty handed? Luckily for me, with my bravery and graceful corking abilities, I was able to get the number of my future wife.
