Question

How do we book our rooms?

Answer

There is a link on our wedding website under 'travel' for you to book under the wedding block, there is a 3 night minimum for the room block rates. You can reach out to our travel agent with any questions and for assistance with booking

How do we RSVP?

Answer

There is a link on the website to RSVP to the wedding. Please RSVP as soon as you are aware whether or not you can attend and choose your meal selection. Room reservations are required to be booked and paid in full by January 15th, 2024

How do we get to the resort?

Answer

Cancun International Airport is 30 minutes away from the resort. Transportation is provided to and from the airport if you book your rooms through the travel agency. Cancun shuttle and Happy shuttle are two other local reputable transportation companies

The resort is adults only so unfortunately no children are invited

What do I need to bring with me for the trip?

Answer

List of packing ideas: money (in USD) for tipping, credit card for purchases on the resort, bring sunscreen (it's expensive at resort), a dry pouch or waterproof phone case, and bug spray

Do I need to bring money with me to the resort?

Answer

The resort is all inclusive food and alcohol including a stocked mini fridge and 24/7 room service. Small tips in USD are appreciated for good service, bring plenty of $1, $5, and $10 bills. Bottles of wine, spa services, candle-lit dinners are all extra charges but guests that book through the wedding block will get a $50 credit towards any of these purchases. Also, the Fuentes culinary experience is highly recommended dinner show, it is an extra charge typically starting at $35 USD per person depending on what menu they are serving that night.

Do I need reservations for dinner?

Answer

Many of the restaurants on the resort require or recommend reservations for dinner. Upon arrival you can visit the concierge building located closest to your room for assistance with reservations. You can also walk in to any restaurant for dinner and put your name on a waiting list if you don't have reservations and you typically can get seated within an hour while you grab a drink at the bar. The hotel has an app you can download with more information on restaurants called GA El Dorado Royale

What are the best restaurants to eat at?

Answer

For breakfast, all restaurants are equally good. For lunch, Kampai (Japanese), la cabana pizzeria and Kick. For dinner, Fuentes, D'italia Villas/Casitas, Santa Fe, Jade (Generations Resort) and Wine Kitchen (Generations Resort).

What is there to do at the resort?

Answer

Here is a link of activities at the resort: https://www.karismahotels.com/el-dorado-spa-resorts/royale/experience/activities We recommend the tequila tasting everyday at 2:30 pm by the pool or the mezcal tasting at 4pm. There is also a greenhouse on site that you can tour where the resort grows all of their own fruits and vegetables. Concierge can provide for information and assist in any scheduling once you arrive to the resort. If you are looking to do excursions off of the resort, Lomas Travel is an excursion group located within the resort. They have a representative in the front lobby that can assist with scheduling excursion packages upon arrival.

How do we get around the resort?

Answer

The resort is sprawling so make sure to bring comfortable shoes! The resort offers shuttles at various points and they come around every 15 minutes.

What resorts do we have access to?

Answer

You have access to the both El Dorado Royale, Casitas and Generations Resort (family friendly). Each of these resorts are within walking distance and have various pools and restaurants. The beach on the El Dorado side is rocky but the beach on the Generations side is better for swimming. For those staying in El Dorado Royale Casitas, you get access to an additional restaurant called D'italia Casitas.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

We do not have a gift registry. Having our family and friends travel to Mexico for our wedding is the greatest gift that we could ask for!
