Travel Note
From Adas Israel Congregation to our reception venue, Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion, the driving directions are as follows: Turn right out of the Adas parking lot (back corner of the parking lot) onto Porter Street NW. Then turn right at the traffic light onto Connecticut Avenue NW. Continue on Connecticut Avenue NW for 2.3 miles, entering the traffic circle and exiting on Western Avenue NW. In 450 feet, turn left onto Brookville Road. After 1.5 miles, slight right onto MD-410 E. In half a mile, turn left onto Jones Mill Road and continue straight for ~1 mile. Turn left into the entrance of Woodend Sanctuary & Mansion, also known as Nature Forward. Please make sure you are entering through the Jones Mill Road entrance since the road within Woodend Sanctuary is a one-way and entering through the exit gate is not possible. Both our ceremony and reception venues have parking.
Travel Note
In lieu of arranging shuttles between our venue locations for guests, we have arranged pre-paid Uber codes for you and your party to utilize. Our Uber code will be announced closer to the wedding and is pre-approved for up to $25, which should be able to transport you from our ceremony venue to our reception venue! Please direct your Uber driver to enter through the Jones Mill Road entrance of Nature Forward/Woodend Sanctuary, as the road within the sanctuary is a one way and entering through the exit gate is not possible.
Flight
The Washington, DC metro area has 3 airports that are all (as of recently) accessible by rail! We recommend traveling into DCA for the shortest post-flight commute via Metro or flying into BWI and taking the MARC train into Union Station for the best budget option. IAD is about an hour by car from Washington, DC and about an hour and a half by Metro.
Train
For getting into town, we recommend seeing if your area has an Amtrak, MARC, or Virginia Railway Express route. All three of these options would arrive into Union Station. Our ceremony venue will be accessible via the Cleveland Park Metro (red line) stop. However, our reception venue is not accessible by metro. For those wanting to take public transportation home from the wedding, we recommend finding other wedding guests to share a 7-minute rideshare with to the Bethesda Metro stop (red line).
