Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls is a must! Our favorite thing to do is hike the Niagara Gorge because you can pick however long you want your hike to be, and it's beautiful no matter where you start or finish. The link is a map of the gorge
Canalside
Canalside is so much fun in the summer! There's so much to do including renting bikes to tour the city, kayaking and paddle boarding, eating at a restaurant on the water, touring battleships and submarines from WWII, and so much more.
Beaver Island State Park
This is one of two state parks on Grand Island. There's a golf course, disc golf, sand volleyball courts, waterfront 'beach' access, picnic tables, a restaurant, and so much more... also where we took our beachy engagement pictures!
Blue Water Marina
Blue water marina rents kayaks and also provides kayaking tours down the Niagara River! See the boyhood home of former U.S. President Grover Cleveland on Grand Island and land your kayak at Strawberry Island for a brief respite and lounge on a beach of glacially flattened pebbles that were deposited thousands of years ago at the end of the Wisconsin Ice Age
Rock Wall Climbing
A rock wall climbing gym closer to downtown Buffalo. Niagara Climbing Center is another great climbing place, a little cheaper and a little closer to Grand Island
Albright-Knox Art Gallery
This is the art gallery in Buffalo. It's also right next to Delaware Park which is beautiful!
Golfing

Kelly's Country Store
This is an old fashioned candy store on Grand Island! Such a cute store to visit and you could find any candy you've ever wanted
Pizza
There are so many pizza places on Grand Island! Here are just a few of them with our food suggestions: Brick Oven - get your wings grilled! Rocky’s Pizza - get the sweet sauce Say Cheese - a superhero themed restaurant (if you're going out instead of ordering in, go here!) Johns Pizza & Subs – don't get pizza... get their chicken finger subs!
Wings
When in Buffalo.... Duff's and Anchor Bar both claim to have made the first chicken wing. Both are great places and you can decide which has the better wings!
Ice Cream
If you're looking for ice cream places, we suggest Dee Dee's Dairy in Niagara Falls or Adrian's on Grand Island. Dee Dee's has the largest flavor selection and the largest ice cream servings you'll ever see! Hibbard's and Lake Effect are two other great places but they are further away
Hertel Avenue
Hertel Ave has some of the craziest food creations. Some of our favorite places are the cereal bar (craziest cereal treats you've ever seen), Poutine and Cream (crazy milkshakes), and Squeeze Juicery (acai bowls and fun smoothies). It's also a cute street to walk around with so much going on
