It all started at the Fitness Club in Easton. Brittany was doing her usual Tuesday night workout when she spotted Jared doing some bicep curls. Brittany was instantly intrigued. So, she asked her friend to talk to him. Brittany was on her way out of the gym when she noticed Jared waiting for her. They began small talk and Jared asked her out on a date. Brittany sped home, showered, got all dressed up and grabbed her sisters I.D. (since she wasn't 21 yet) and was on her way! The two met at Rivals Sports Bar and immediately hit it off, leading to a few more dates. As their relationship began to progress, Brittany decided to tell Jared the truth... her age. To Brittany's surprise, Jared already knew (thanks to a few mutual friends they didn't even know they had) but the two of them moved past it. They both knew that what they had together was special and neither of them wanted to give that up. Fast forward 6 years later and they're getting married!
Jared proposed 4th of July weekend in Lavallette NJ. The two were on their way down to Brittany's best-friend (& MOH's), beach house to spend the holiday with a group of their closest friends. The day of the proposal, they all decided to ride their bicycles to the best brunch spot in town, Meg's Grill, where it's BYO bubbly! Towards the end of brunch it started to thunderstorm. Everyone decided to wait it out awhile before having to bike home. The storm would not let up, so everyone hopped on their bike and peddled as fast as they could back to the beach house, trying to avoid getting struck by lightening. *Everyone got home safe.* It eventually stopped storming and they all got ready to walk up to the beach for a planned "sunset picnic" ;) On their way up to the beach the Crouse Cloud returned.. Thankfully, it just lingered above and didn't produce any precipitation. Brittany kept asking Jared if he was "okay" since he looked a little ill all day.. maybe it was one too many mimosas at brunch? - she thought. They eventually approached the beach. Brittany didn't take much notice to the large group of people standing by the water and thought they were "fishing." As they made their way closer, she noticed all the lit candles scattered on the sand and finally realized that large group of "fishermen" was actually her and Jared's family. The photo snaps started going off behind them from their group of friends and there he was getting down on one knee, asking for her hand in marriage! SHE OBVIOUSLY SAID YES!!! Best. Day. Ever. #SheWentToJared
