Gettin Hitched!!

Hannah and Benjamin met on January 11th, 2021, after returning to Montreat College to begin their spring semester. Ben was returning to pursue a degree in Criminal Justice after transferring to FAU for a summer and continuing to play lacrosse. Hannah was in her second semester studying Biology and had recently decided to join the lacrosse team. By chance, they met at the lacrosse field and were introduced by Ben’s teammate, Sam Jones. Hannah had never played lacrosse before, and Ben will add that this was obvious, judging by her abysmal throwing form. While the rest of his teammates were throwing with each other and shooting around, Ben decided to help Hannah, and they quickly connected. With family roots in Maryland, both the youngest in their families, and a shared love for sports and the beauty of nature, their conversations flowed effortlessly, as if they’d known each other forever. After an hour and a much-improved throwing form, the two said goodbye and carried on with their day. After some investigative work, Ben found Hannah’s social media profile, and the two kept talking. The next day, after discovering a shared passion for hiking, the two climbed Lookout Mountain on the Montreat College campus. Despite the snow, ice, and chilly weather, the conversations between the two never ceased. After Hannah faceplanted many times, she claims to have fallen from the ice, but Ben claims it was due to a lack of coordination; the pair made it to the top. A polite stranger offered to take their picture, and from there was born the most awkward first photo known to man, and a relationship that we gather together to celebrate on April 25th, 2026.
