We're getting married!

Stephen and I both grew up in Paxton and were only a year apart in school, but we never really met or talked throughout our years there. In 2017 I went to Walmart in Rantoul with Shannon Stocking, my best friend's mom because it was a summer day and I had nothing better to do. When we were there we ran into a boy she had babysat as a kid and his parents. The boy (Stephen) immediately recognized me from high school and started making conversation, meanwhile I thought he looked familiar and had no idea who he was. Stephen asked me on our first date a couple days later and after a week to be his girlfriend on June 8, 2017. That fall I began working at Hardy's Reindeer Ranch, run by family members in Rantoul, and eventually they brought Stephen on as well. Working there together in the fall and winter is so fun for us, the ranch people are our second family! On October 27, 2019, I was giving my last reindeer tour of the day (my favorite part of the job), when he popped the question in front of all our reindeer friends! Stephen is currently working full time as a product technician at a local engineering company in Champaign. He also enjoys his early morning trips to the gym and relaxing when he has the time. I work part time as a CNA at Clark-Lindsey Village in Urbana and am a full time nursing student in the Liscensed Practical Nursing program at Parkland College. We are both beyond excited for our wedding day so we can celebrate our love with all of you!
