We met by chance. All thanks to our friends for inviting us to attend a Michelada Festival at Santa Anita Race Track. I was walking to get a beer when David noticed me and yelled “Oh my God” and pointed my out. I went to go sit with my friends. Once David saw who I was with, he asked my friends if I was single. After formally meeting each other we spent the rest of the day together. At the end of the night David said he would drive to Palmdale the next day to see me. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the Bronco game. Since that day we have spent each weekend together until we bought our home in January 2020.

After weeks of David acting weird I found the ring box in our safe a week before Christmas. It took everything inside of me not to open the ring box. I thought he was going to propose over the holidays. Christmas, New years, and my birthday passed and no proposal. David said he wanted to go shopping. We went to Ontario Mills. We shopped and ate. Once we got home he said he needed to get something from our backyard. He took Aaliyah with him. I went to open our front door and saw a path of rose petals leading to our backyard. Once I opened the the back yard door David waited for me. With balloons saying Marry Me and rose petals in the shape of a heart. It was the easiest yes.
