I know I can't bring everyone over the pond for the wedding, but I can't imagine not being surrounded by my family for a piece of it. Hope to see you there! This is a short and sweet aperitivo style gathering. There will be heavy hors d'oeuvres, desserts and an open bar.

The Beds is a Greek traditional ceremony where the couple "makes the bed", all the while, the guests come through and tug or mess up the bed and leave a contribution to the soon-to-be-weds' marriage. (Think of this as the Greek Registry). This is open house style, and there will be an aperitvo.

Dress is casual, no need to bring anything but yourself (if you're not staying at the hotel), and if you are already at the hotel, just bring an appetite!

The Dressing of the Bride & Groom

Wear what you will wear to the wedding
The dressing is a traditional Greek preparation before the wedding. Be ready to wish the best and admire the Bride and Groom in the last moments of their unwed life. The Groom's family visits him to wish him well (usually pinning money to his suit) while he is prepared, and the Bride's family will come to wish her well and help "dress" or prepare the Bride. Dimitris will be at his family home, and Jaquelyn will be preparing at the home of his aunt (the bridal party will meet at In Camera and go there together)

The weather will be warm, so summer-chic attire is recommended. The ceremony will be in the courtyard of the church, for the most part (weather permitting).

There will be shuttles going directly from the wedding ceremony to the reception location. The reception typically goes quite a bit longer into the night than an American wedding reception, so a midday power nap is highly encouraged!
