Fourteen years ago, on the very first day of sophomore year, we met in a classroom where new students were being welcomed; one of us was way more loud than the other (we’ll let you guess who). What started as a memorable introduction soon turned into a friendship filled with inside jokes, playful quotes from Family Guy and La Hora Pico, and even an ongoing debate about how to spell poZole. We quickly became best friends and each other’s person—our go-to for venting, gossiping, crying, and laughing through every moment life threw our way. Twelve years ago, we realized our connection was deeper than friendship, eventually blossoming into a relationship. From there, we grew together through every chapter—college side by side, long distance while completing post-graduate programs, a big move to Los Angeles, and even becoming proud pawrents along the way. Two years ago, we finally got engaged, and today we couldn’t be more excited to become husband and wife.
