We met at Beaumont Triangle Driving school. The students were arranged at different tables in alphabetical order, so we ended up sitting right next to each other since both of our last names begin with the letter "A". A friendship was formed and the rest was history.

Our first date was at Crossroads Bowling Center in Beaumont, Texas. It was a double date with Cedric, the Best Man, and Sydnie, the Maid of Honor. The most vivid memories we both have of that night are a bright yellow sweater that was worn and we discovered that our fathers were childhood best friends! What a small world.

The proposal was a surprise! Japera was under the impression that she was attending her birthday brunch with some friends at Flying Vine Lakeside Grille, but when she walked in, her life changed forever in the best way possible! The room was lit up with the smiles of our families and the bright lights of the sign that spelled out "Marry Me". The song that perfectly describes our relationship mingled with the sweet words of love and promise from Travis's lips. Happiness and love was all that could be felt in the room while Japera said, "YES!"
