We knew we were meant to be together "When I met Art, I could feel his energy, his vibe, his light, and he could light up any room with his big smile. His warmth made me light up inside. No words could explain how he entranced me. All I knew was that when we were together my soul felt at peace." ~ Janneth "I knew after Janneth got COVID and the 10 days away from her trying everything possible just to see her. I took her food and we FaceTimed each other. The emptiness I had not having Janneth by my side laughing and just hanging out made me realize she was everything I wanted. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her and grow old together..." ~ Art

Sabíamos que estábamos destinados a estar juntos "Cuando conocí a Art, pude sentir su energía, su vibración, su aura, él puede iluminar cualquier habitación con su sonrisa. Su calidez me iluminaba por dentro y fuera. No hay palabras que pueda explicar los sentimientos que me hiso sentir, solo que cuando estábamos juntos tenía paz, tanqilidad". ~~~ Janneth "Lo supe cuando Janneth contrajo COVID, durante los 10 días de aislamiento intenté todo lo posible para verla, le llevaba comida se la dejaba afuera y solo la veia por la Ventana, hablamos por FaceTime. El vacío quede no tenerla a mi lado riéndose, simplemente pasando tiempo juntos, me hizo darme cuenta que ella era todo lo quo yo quería. Quería pasar el resto de mi vida con ella y envejecer juntos..." ~~~ Art

Initially, the plans were to propose to Janneth in Tubac on December 12, 2021, but her ring was not ready for pick up. The following week it was ready! On a Sunday afternoon, we were driving home from the store, I wanted to go to Gates Pass (a scenic overlook in Tucson) to propose, but Janneth was in cooking mode and shot that idea down. As we passed La Cholla and River, I remembered a place Janneth would go for runs to release stress and clear her head. So, I pulled into the parking lot at Shannon and River. As I got out of the car, I had to make up an excuse…I needed to get in the trunk to see if my laptop was there! I went to Janneth's side of the car, opened the door, and said "look at the beautiful sunset which is fitting because this is the place that helped you forget things in the pass. As I went to my knee, I told Janneth today I want to build a future with you and create memories that will last forever!" Janneth said "yes" as she cried and in her sweet and innocent voice she said, "this is not gold it's platinum!" I responded "I know but you know me, I got impatient and didn't want to wait for the gold ring to come. So, I just got this one :) !" We both smiled and hugged each other. ~~~ El día que nuestras vidas cambiaron para siempre Inicialmente, los planes eran proponerle matrimonio a Janneth en Tubac el 12 de diciembre de 2021, pero su anillo no estaba listo para ser recogido. ¡A la semana siguiente estaba listo! Un domingo por la tarde, estábamos manejando a casa desde la tienda, yo quería ir a Gates Pass (un mirador panorámico en Tucson) para proponerle matrimonio, pero Janneth estaba en modo cocina y rechazó la idea. Cuando pasamos por La Cholla y el río, recordé un lugar al que Janneth iba a correr para liberar el estrés y despejarse la cabeza. Así que me detuve en el estacionamiento de Shannon and River. Cuando salí del auto, tuve que inventar una excusa... ¡Necesitaba entrar en el maletero para ver si mi computadora portátil estaba allí! Fui al lado del auto de Janneth, abrí la puerta y dije "mira la hermosa puesta de sol que es apropiada porque este es el lugar que te ayudó a olvidar las cosas en el pase". Mientras me arrodillaba, le dije a Janneth hoy que ¡Quiero construir un futuro contigo y crear recuerdos que durarán para siempre!" Janneth dijo "sí" mientras lloraba y con su voz dulce e inocente dijo: "¡Esto no es oro, es platino!" Respondí: "Lo sé, pero me conoces, me impacienté y no quería esperar a que llegara el anillo de oro. ¡Así que acabo de recibir este :)!" Ambos sonreímos y nos abrazamos.
