Our Love Story

Like many modern love stories, ours began online — a simple message that turned into conversations, laughter, and a connection neither of us expected. Life paused our story for a bit, but fate clearly wasn’t done with us. When we reconnected, something just felt right. This time, we chose to lean into it… and everything changed. He made the first big step by traveling all the way to my hometown of Yuma, Arizona to meet me in person. Our first date was sweet and simple — a movie, followed by him meeting my parents that very same night. The next morning, I took him to the Telegraph Pass trail, where we climbed the 5.3 mile mountain together. I’m sure he thought I was a little crazy for choosing such a challenging hike, but that day gave us time to truly talk, laugh, learn about each other, and begin something meaningful. From that moment on, our love grew — even with the distance between Yuma and San Diego, where he is currently serving in the Navy. We made every mile worth it. We visited each other, went on dates, celebrated birthdays, met each other’s family and friends, and realized our love was becoming a forever bond. We faced our first deployment together as boyfriend and girlfriend, and despite the distance, we chose each other every day. Our love continued to deepen, leading to our engagement, our civil marriage, and the beautiful journey we are now on. Today, we stand in faith, honoring God, honoring love, and honoring the promise we made to each other. United in faith and marriage, our story has come full circle — rooted in love, growth, and devotion. We are so grateful for every step that led us here and for every person who has supported our journey. Thank you for being part of our love story and celebrating this next chapter with us.
