Jajuan and Jannel first met in the Summer of 2016 in Washington, DC at a peaceful protest. Over the summer, Jajuan and Jannel would hangout through mutual friends, not thinking much of what was to come. Jannel and Jajuan would again reconnect in the Fall of 2018 as they both attended the Andrews Theological Seminary located in Berrien Springs, MI. Once again, the two spent time through hanging out with mutual friends until things took a shift for...the better. As Jajuan and Jannel spent more time together - whether it was Jajuan offering to give Jannel rides (as she didn't have a car at the time) or Jannel recommending that they spend time talking about all sorts of things - something beautiful blossomed. Jajuan (jokingly, but seriously) declared when he first came to Andrews that he believed Jannel would be his wife, and he certainly wasn't wrong. 7 years later, they will be wed on what will be their 7th dating anniversary, marking the number of completion.
