DerRonica, or "Ronni" as Janiya lovingly calls her, has been Janiya's best friend since high school, and for nearly 20 years, their bond has only grown stronger. Through the ups and downs, they’ve always had each other’s backs, whether it’s through late-night FaceTime seafood boil sessions or sharing the kind of inside jokes that only best friends can. Janiya knows Ronni’s Taco Bell order by heart (and vice versa!), and Ronni is always quick to yell at Janiya whenever she asks for a bite of something she swore she didn’t want. This is a friendship that’s built to last a lifetime, and Janiya couldn’t be happier to have Ronni standing by her side as a bridesmaid.

As work partners on FDNY EMS for four years, they’ve tackled some of the toughest and most rewarding moments side by side — from being HAZTAC EMTs to both entering the FDNY paramedic program. They’ve witnessed both the best and the hardest calls, but through it all, their unwavering friendship has been a constant. Their shared experiences have shaped a bond that goes far beyond the job, making Anthony an irreplaceable part of Matt’s life and a vital part of today.

Mike and Matthew first crossed paths in EMS, but it was their shared experience of 19 weeks of grueling training at the FDNY Fire Academy that truly forged their friendship. Even though they were assigned to different firehouses, their bond remains strong as they're still in the same battalion and often run into each other on calls. Through the challenges of training and the excitement of their careers, Mike has been a steadfast friend and an important part of Matt’s life.
