“I enjoyed seeing you today I admire the way you work”. The message I received after he made a complete fool out of me. Let’s rewind back to the beginning. So yeah I was putting a Christmas tree together and couldn’t seem to get it right. I mean I was struggling and he noticed. He comes over and said In the most country accent “let me help you honey” I melted like a teenage school girl and said “I mean if you think you can figure it out be my guest” He simply pulled a piece off the base of the tree and boom he saved the day and ultimately in my life. I then knew I had to have him lol 😂. A coworker who processed to converse with him slid him my number insisting that he call me. That was the beginning to our happily ever after. Then on he made it a point to come into the store for whatever he could think of just for an opportunity to run into me again. And when he did we hit it off and couldn’t do life without one another. We both had been through our share of failed relationships and knew exactly what we wanted in life and a partner and we found just that. I literally prayed for this man and didn’t think I was worthy of someone so amazing. I have always been a hopeless romantic and have witnessed first hand true love. I can’t wait to do this thing called life with you!!!

So after 7+ years of dating he finally popped the question. We were on our annual vacation a tradition we started a few years back. In Jamaica 🇯🇲 I mean this place was everything and per usual we took out time away from the world just to enjoy one another! I knew something was up he was acting a little weird in the days leading up and he kept disappearing which was strange seeing as we were miles away from everyone we knew. Little did I know he had it all planned out. He coordinated with the resort staff to set up a perfect dinner on a perfect night with the perfect person. When we walked into the restaurant our table was the only one decorated with balloons, rose-petals, candlelight, and champagne, I mean he didn’t miss a beat. The waiter then went on to explain we won some type of dinner and we were special guest for the evening. I knew then what was about to happen. He then goes on to tell me how much he loved what we had and how proud and grateful he was to have me in his life. He hands me a handcrafted wooden box that red “Marry Me Janisha” and precedes to get on one knee and of course I said YEESSSSS!!!!!
