You must have heard from my folks
that I took my own sweet time to find somebody I like.
People say I’m choosy, but my checklist was short, but the balance was hard to strike I was looking for someone namazi, kind, sincere, silly, graceful, goofy, gorgeous, smart, and bright,
who laughs at nonsense, prays with purpose,
and somehow does it all right. I was told this list is so unique
that I should get my wife customized in tahajjud.
Such a wonderful woman is nothing short of a wish, and granting it, yes, only He could. So I woke up in the middle of all those nights
and laid down my prayer mat.
And I saw the result of those duas, revealing themselves in our chat. I could feel it in my heart, this was my wish being granted.
But I also wondered, am I the one she wanted? Because it’s one thing to find the one
and want them as your companion for life.
