Love is a mathematical and alphabetical algorithm. The algorithms for finding that perfect match; a match that is based on what you think is important in yourself and in a mate. A match that is based on playing the game, making it to the playoffs and finally winning the championship. It all started at 321 Golf Club Rd in the Basketball Gym of Diablo Valley College. Two, twenty-year old Superstars trying to live their life, trying to discover the world around them, but also with one another. It wasn’t love at first sight, but there was definitely magic on and off the court. Damon, knew that Janis had sparked a flame in his heart that he couldn’t blow out. On March 11, 2013, Damon asked Janis if they could be exclusive. He only wanted to share her on the court, but not in the locker room too. Just three months after, Damon went to Kansas and Janis went to Texas to pursue their talents. The long distance definitely had its challenges, but they persevered. Just when it seemed that they would be back on the court together again. The following year Damon went to school in Denver and Janis went to school in LA. The year went by, but it wasn’t easy. At times they went to see one another playing in their respective cities, they spent holidays together and they spent breaks together, but they couldn’t catch a break. Another year goes by and they move even further away from one another. This time Janis in Europe and Damon finishing his last year in Denver. With the huge time change and drastic distance, Damon and Janis knew they could endure anything. They knew that this was all a test; a test of their love and devotion to one one another. They finally made it through that Season.

Now the real test would come in to play. Both Damon and Janis were back together in the same city at the same time. They were playing on homecourt. It was the icing on the cake. This time it was the Playoffs and they were on the same team. They had to not only rely on themselves, but one another. They had to trust, communicate, divide their time, take risks and become not only teammates, but also best friends no matter how much pressure they were up against. On February 15, 2019 in Palm Springs, Damon knew that he had the perfect partner; a teammate that he could call his best friend and his soulmate. He knew that they won the Championship and that Janis was the MVP of the game. So he presented her with the most priceless ring that she will ever wear and asked for her hand in marriage. They knew that through all the losses and victories that if they put God first, trust one another, follow their personal dreams and always remain as partners and team players that their courtship will overcome any obstacle. On June 18, 2021 both Damon and Janis will become Mr. and Mrs. Jones.
