We will provide a camping site free of charge for the Friday and Saturday nights. Please feel free to bring your tent, campervan, self-contained van, but no sleeping in cars as these will be kept on the road. You are welcome to stay for one night or both. Please ensure if arriving on the Saturday, you have enough time prior to the ceremony's start time, to set up your campsite. If wanting to stay for an additional night on the Sunday, following the after-match, please look to book through the campsite directly and let them know you are staying on as part of the wedding group. There are bathrooms/showers on site (classic kiwi camping styles). If camping is not quite your vibe you could also look at local Airbnb options in Little River.
Only 45 minutes from Christchurch City and less than one hour from the airport. Take state highway 75 towards Akaroa. 1km past the Little River Inn, turn right onto Kinloch Road for 1km then left onto Okuti Valley Road following the signs to Manaia Native Habitat and blue holiday park sign. We ask you leave your cars parked on the main road for a car free zone inside the venue, reach out to other guests as car-pooling may be a good option.
We will provide beer, wine, non-alcoholic options, shared platters, and dinner (veggie, vegan and gf options) on the Saturday afternoon/evening, and a breakfast BBQ on the Sunday morning. Otherwise, please bring your own drinks, food/snack, for all other meals across the camping weekend. This is a BYO friendly venue. There are also some great cafe options in Little River a very short drive away from the campground.
All the camping gear you need for your personal set up including bedding, torch, seating, cutlery, cooking utensils, additional meals etc. Smart/dressy clothing for the Saturday. Power bank for phone charging (largely non-powered sites). Be mindful there is no power at the bathroom block, or at the majority of the sites- we will provide a powered area for glamming up with mirrors on the morning of the wedding. Wet weather gear, just in case.
Please dress to impress for our big day but remember this is outdoors/at a campground so be selective when choosing footwear. As the temperature will likely drop in the evening a warm layer is encouraged.
Our wedding weekend is all about connecting with the people we love and will be a low-key affair. We will be setting up and enjoying a few beers on the Friday afternoon/evening so please feel free to join us. This is a BYO friendly venue =)
Please find a babysitter for the weekend, unless immediate Whānau.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we respectfully request it is just you.
No gifts are expected, however we will have a basket for any cards and a wishing well which will go towards our honeymoon!
We will dance in the rain! There is a marquee if required. Please plan accordingly as this is an outdoor event.
