Maid of Honor
Jody is my sister-mom. She is the older sister I would choose if it was ever a choice. She truly is my best friend that I talk to multiple times throughout the day.
Maid of Honor
Janet and I met at the library in HCC and we have been stuck at the hip since then. Her family has adopted me as one of their own and I am privileged to have her stand by my side on one of the most important days of my life.
Best Man
I always respected him from afar and over time we became close. I first met Jon at a banquet at FIU and he had on an Oriental Suit that I thought was dope. Throughout FIU we connected in different spaces and through mutual friends but we really did not build our friendship until we started working together at The Harid Conservatory. There we began to open up to each other and built a genuine and transparent relationship. Outside of our jokes, we find ourselves engaging in deep rooted conversations about who we are and what is needed to be the best version of ourselves. Jon became my brother.
Best Man
DeAndrew is one of the friendliest and engaging people you will ever meet. You will feel that you are a part of his family when you hang around him and that’s what he made me feel like when I came to Florida. We met through mutual friends and eventually started hanging out together. He has always been welcoming and openly willing to be there for me in any situation. He can be protective, which is something I have always appreciative of with him. DeAndrew has been there for some milestones in my life and I am thankful to call him family. Once I introduced him to Caribbean life, he’s been an honorary islander ever since.
