We met at Loyola College in Maryland through Jess, Dave's sister and Janine's good friend who lived across the hall Sophomore year. We had a lot of fun as friends and, for many reasons that seemed right at the time, played down the undeniable spark that burned beneath the surface and was never fully acknowledged. But we stayed connected through Jess, and, a short 15 years later, we reconnected for a drink and live music at a sweet piano bar in New York City. As the night came to an end, while we both felt a connection, Dave, trying to do the right thing, called it a night as just friends and placed Janine in an Uber to drive back to NJ. Something about it just didn't feel right, and so with one circle around the block, Janine asked the Uber driver to go back to the piano bar, she walked back in, saw Dave at the bar... and well, the rest is history.
