Closest airport to Trancoso is Porto Seguro, Bahia, Brazil (Airport Code: BPS). For international travelers, BPS is served from São Paulo Guarulhos Airport (GRU), Brasilia Airport (BSB), Salvador (SSA) and Río de Janeiro (SDU - this is the domestic airport, so flights to GIG would require changing airports).

How to get to Trancoso from Porto Seguro by car (and ferry)
There are two options: (1) car + ferry from Porto Seguro to Arraial D'Ajuda + car to Trancoso or (2) car only. We suggest to use the ferry option, which departs every 30 minutes (times available in the link), which is a shorter and faster trip. Tip: have BRL to pay the fee in case they are not taking credit card.
