Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite Topeka activities with you!
Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center

Kansas State Capitol Visitor Center

10th and Jackson, Topeka, KS 66612
, (785) 296-3966

Janie used to work at the Capitol building during the legislative session and coordinated tours for locals coming to the capitol for the day. Personally, she thinks that the Kansas statehouse is the most beautiful one there is!

Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Kansas Children's Discovery Center

4400 Southwest 10th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66604
, (785) 783-8300

Saturday Hours 10:00am-5:00pm The website says to expect to be there with your littles for 2-3 hours — it comes highly recommended by some of our family friends!

Iron Rail Brewing

705 South Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603
, (785) 215-8123

If you're looking for a local place to eat, this one should at least be a contender! Their pretzels and beer cheese are amazing, as well as their nacho fries... Not super healthy, but incredibly delicious!

The Wheel Barrel

925 North Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608
, (785) 289-6767

Local restaurant in the NOTO district, a bit off the beaten path and very much a boutique restaurant with rustic charm. 10/10 would recommend, so of course it's on the list!

The Tipsy Carrot

922 North Kansas Avenue, Topeka, KS 66608
, (785) 730-2299

This is such a fun place to visit in the NOTO district - they have fresh juice, tumeric shots, healthy cookies *say what*, and more! Check it out if you have time and want an immune boost!

Flinthills

KS

No address, just drive west and the Flint Hills will find you! Absolutely gorgeous and a must see if you're visiting from out of town.

For all the days along the way
