Forest Park
Just a short walk or drive from The Chase! Also very close to Lourdes. The park is a beauty on its own but also houses the Missouri History Museum, St. Louis Art Museum, St. Louis Science Center/Planetarium, St. Louis Zoo and so much more! The best part is they're all free! Fall walks/bike rides in the park are the best! The circumference of the park is 5.8 miles but there are over 30 miles of paths/trails! If the weather allows, you can rent a paddleboat, canoe, kayak, etc. there as well! The park also has golf, pickleball, and tennis if it is nice out! Other attractions to check out: Jewel Box, World's Fair Pavilion, Ice Skating at Steinberg, and the Muny Theater (closed in Nov but it is the oldest/largest outdoor theater!). Missouri Botanical Garden
The Missouri Botanical Gardens is a national historic landmark and a St. Louis treasure. Founded in 1859, the 79-acre Missouri Botanical Garden is the nation's oldest botanical garden in continuous operation. Fun Fact: Tower Grove Park adjacent to the Missouri Botanical Garden is where we got engaged! This is also a great spot to check out/take a walk! Highly recommend checking out Garden Glow if you have the time! 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM. More than one million lights light up the garden to get in the (early) holiday spirit! Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery
It doesn't get more St. Louis than this! Complimentary tour where you will get to see the entire 7 step brewing process and also get to see the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales. The tour is free plus you get two free beers! You can also just stop by to grab a drink at the Biergarten and check the Brewery out! St. Louis is also home to a ton of craft breweries, if that is more up your alley see some spots below or feel free to reach out for recommendations! The Gateway Arch
Gateway to the West! The Arch is located very close to the MAC. If you are looking to take a tram ride to the top, be sure to schedule in advance as there is limited capacity due to COVID. Be sure to check out the new museum or the park grounds of the tallest man-made monument in the US!
City Museum
For the child at heart! This is NOT your average museum - truly unlike anywhere else! Housed in the 10 story, 600,000 square foot warehouse of the International Shoe Company, City Museum is a mixture of children's playground, funhouse, surrealistic pavilion, and architectural marvel made out of found and repurposed objects. Not to worry - there are bars inside! This is close to the MAC.
Ted Drewes Frozen Custard
The BEST frozen custard out there! Concretes are the way to go - so thick they even serve it to you upside down!
Mom's Deli
Get the Mom's special, hands down. If you are interested in a different deli (not on the Hill) check out Blue's City Deli or Le Grands (Le Grands Special HOT is our go to!)
Central West End
If you are staying at the Chase, this is located in the Central West End! No shortage of great restaurants, bars and shops. Recommend taking a walk to check out some very unique (and massive) historic homes, St. Louis Cathedral Basilica and/or Forest Park! YellowBelly, Pi Pizzeria, Mission Taco, Brasserie by Niche, Retreat Gastropub, Narwhal's Crafted, Drunken Fish, El Burro Loco, Vicia, Juniper, Edera, Bowood by Niche and Kingside Diner are all great options to check out.
Pappy's Smokehouse
Named Best Ribs in America by the Food Network in 2008. St. Louis is home to lots of great BBQ, here are some other equally amazing options to check out: Sugarfire, Bogart's, Salt + Smoke, Adam's - Feel free to reach out for more recs!
The Delmar Loop
Close to the Chase and Lourdes! A great place to explore or grab a bite to eat. The Loop features six blocks of historic bars, concert venues, restaurants and shops. Stop by Blueberry Hill for live music, check out STL's own walk of fame or grab a bite/drink at one of the following great options: Salt + Smoke, Blueberry Hill, Mission Taco, Fitz's, Seoul Taco, Blueprint Coffee or Pi Pizzeria. Take a ride on the STL Trolley if it is up and running again!
The Hill
If you are looking for Italian cuisine you have come to the right place! Long-established Italian-American neighborhood with family-owned delis, sandwich shops, bakeries, grocery stores, mom and pop trattorias, pizzerias, and upscale Italian eateries. Missouri Baking Company, Adriana's, Gioia's Deli, Charlie Gitto's, Anthonino's, Zia's, Favazza's, Mama's, Gian-tony's, Mama Toscano's, Milo's... I could go on and on! You really can't go wrong!
Imo's Pizza
Not usually a fan favorite for out of towners (unless you're Danny Ludwig - #1 Fan!) but we St. Louisans love it and it is definitely a must try! Imo's Pizza is your classic Saint Louis-style pizza. Extremely thin crust with provel cheese. Don't forget to order the toasted ravioli!
Grant's Farm
Grant's Farm used to be private property of the Busch family - now it's open to the public (for free!)! Over 900 animals including the infamous Budweiser Clydesdales. Also 2 free beers per person!
John D. McGurk's Irish Pub and Garden
Live Irish Band! A classic STL bar of choice. Plenty of other fun bars in Soulard as well! - Molly's is another fave. If you are looking to go out to bars, Soulard is always a great time!
Ballpark Village
Adjacent to Busch Stadium is Cardinal Nation's Ballpark Village. Home to restaurants, bars and nightlife venues. Stop by to catch a sports games on the big screens both indoor and outdoor!
Three Sixty
Close to the MAC! Indoor/Outdoor rooftop bar/restaurant with 360 degrees of the city - including Busch Stadium!
Downtown Clayton
Close to Lourdes and the Chase! Lots of great restaurant options for breakfast, lunch or dinner - reach out if looking for a rec!
