Janice is a Island Girl, Mother, Grandmother, Great grandmother, Sister, Aunt.Cousin,Nurse and Real Estate Realtor. She is the oldest child of Kathleen Gumbs Williams lineage. She was born on January 6, 1945 on St. Thomas V.I. Janice graduated from CAHS in 1962 and traveled to the U.S. where she pursued a career in nursing. Her nursing career started when she was 20 years old. She retired at age 72 and presently volunteers with the red cross. Janice married Phillip Brooks in 1968 and from that union they had two children Tony and Laura. Tia Tamia and Ty are Tony's children. A.J. is my great grandson. Janice entered the US Army Nurse Reserve at age 40 when her son was a Army Reserve soldier She saw the opportunity to become an Army Nurse in which she served as 1st lieutenant for 9 years. Later she returned to the VI. as a travel nurse in 1991 and has lived on St Croix for the past 33 years. Janice worked as a realtor part-time in St Croix with Rupertha Andrews at Andrews Real Estate for 20 years. They were the A and B team ,they also sold cruise ship packages. Her favorite hobby is traveling, and she has traveled to 6 continents and many countries around the world by air and cruise ships.
