Jo is Janice's younger sister, current roommate, and the person who has done the most life with Janice. They find joy in taking walks together after dinner, sharing in the laughter that their endearing parents bring them, and discovering beautiful hikes. It has been an unexpected blessing to have been able to live with Jo during the pandemic. Jo is Janice and JK's Overcooked Executive Chef, hiking & board game buddy, and trusty companion during Covid!
Sang Lee
Best Man
JK met Sang back in 2003 during their freshman year in high school and has remained close friends ever since. Despite not living in the same state for over the last decade, the two friends are able to pick up right where they left off, make time to go on new adventures and stay young at heart. Back in the day, they would often stay out late listening to each other's situations and giving each other advice on life dilemmas and conundrums. Not much has changed since then.
Kelsy Shen

Janice met Kelsy at USC and they've shared so many fond memories together! From being roommates at USC and traveling around Taiwan, to fast-passing through Disneyland, Kelsy has always been a friend who has taught Janice how to enjoy the moments in life! Kelsy and Janice both love their bloody marys, eating their way through the streets of Taiwan, and traveling.
Andrew Nguyen
Best Man
Andrew met JK back at Georgetown University in 2013. Andrew was getting his Master's in Physiology while JK was working towards his MD. As such, they spent a lot of time studying at Dahlgren Memorial Library (colloquially known as "The Dungeon"). From numerous early mornings and countless late nights, the two friends helped each other stay motivated and focused while studying for endless exams. Since then, they have continued to help each other stay motivated on whatever life goals lay ahead.
Kayla Kwan
Bridesmaid
Janice also met Kayla at USC! They became close in college through countless retreats, mission trips, and being each others' accountability partner. They both love playing board games, packing as many meet ups and hang outs into their schedule as possible, and of course Disneyland! A favorite memory that Janice has with Kayla is when the two tackled a half marathon in Carlsbad! While it has only been one half marathon so far, perhaps maybe there will a second.
Loy Calaquian
Best Man
After medical school, JK completed his internal medicine internship at a military hospital in Texas. That's when he met Loy who became his comrade in arms during the long morning rounds and never-ending patient note writing. Through all the shenanigans, curbside medical consults, and studying for board exams, the two became close friends. And though, JK moved away from Texas to continue anesthesiology training in California and Loy to South Korea to work as a hospitalist, the two have remained close to the point where Loy even asked JK to become his daughter's godfather!
