We met the old-fashioned way… at a bar. What started as a casual night out quickly turned into an entire weekend together in Santa Cruz, and from there, we were pretty much inseparable. By June of 2019, we officially began dating and spent that summer soaking up all the best things: music in the park, Napa co-ed softball games, wine tasting, boating, camping, and countless dates that made us fall even harder for each other. Just six months later, the world shut down. During the early days of the pandemic, Zach made the bold decision to move into Janey’s house, which was already home to three roommates and their significant others. It was crowded, chaotic, and unforgettable. Living through lockdown together showed us that if we could spend all this time together, we could spend our lives together too. Our little family grew soon after. First came our beloved cat, Pepper, followed by the addition of our dog, Olive, a year later. That year brought a brief pause in our journey, but time apart only confirmed what we already knew: life is better together. In 2023, our hearts grew in the biggest way possible when we welcomed our daughter, Freya. Life since then has been a beautiful whirlwind. Becoming parents together has been the greatest adventure of our lives. We said goodbye to Napa and started a new chapter in the capital city, hand in hand. Now, with full hearts and so much excitement, we’re ready to begin our next adventure, marriage!
