Think of this as a vacation! We plan on booking December 13-19th. Feel free to stay as long as you’d like!
Dress warm!!! December in New York can be a little unpredictable. Be prepared for rain, snow or sunny days. Think layers, layers, layers! Don’t forget comfortable walking shoes!!!
Flights may range anywhere from $300-450 round trip. American Airlines does offer direct flights!
Direct flights can we found to JFK in New York or EWR in New Jersey. Both are about a 45min uber ride. If you are feeling adventurous you can also take the subway. Warning!!!! Ubers to and from the airport can be pricey ($80-100). Taxi is also a great way to hitch a ride to and from.
New York is very walkable! If you’re feeling adventurous or tired of walking, take a subway! They’re easy to get around in! Use Google for quick directions on which subway to take. You can now use Apple Pay to pay for the subway fares! Taxi is also a great option.
We want everyone to enjoy the skyline and the ceremony. With that said, be warm, be comfy and expect very cold weather (30 degrees and windy).
The MET, the MoMa and the American Museum of Natural History. Please see “things to do” tab for ticket information!
If you want to shop for unique gifts stop at the Bryant Park Christmas Village, the Central Park Christmas Market or the Union Square Market! All free and fun to walk through.
New York is full of unique coffee! Our two favorites are Devocion and Felix Roasting Company. Bagels are everywhere! Liberty Bagel, Scoop and Ess a Bagel are a few must try!
So many options for food! Ramen is a must! IPPUDO, Momosan, Ichiran and Momofuku.
This is tough! You can’t go wrong with a $1.50 fresh pizza. Cheap, warm, yummy pizza, they’re everywhere but bring cash! Prince street pizza is a must! Recommend taking the subway to get there. Same for L’industrie Pizzeria West Village. Or stop at the famous Joe’s Pizza for a slice!
There are tons of buildings with views at the top! Few of our favorites are The Edge, One World, Empire State and Summit One. They do require tickets.
There are not any group activities planned. Treat this as an opportunity to have your own New York vacation and adventure.
We would appreciate RSVP’s by May 1st. This gives us time to block hotel rooms and make sure we get the best deals for everyone. Feel free to reach out if extra time is needed.
We are working hard to accommodate both reasonable and affordable locations for hotels. In order to do that we are needing RSVP’s for an adequate head count. On May 1st hotel options will be posted on this website. Don’t want to wait? Feel free to book ahead! We love the Midtown East area for hotels.
