A hybrid book store, coffee shop. Close to the wedding venue and they have supported Janet and Ryan's artistic endeavors. If Emily or Chelsea are working, say hello for us!
One of many solid coffee spots downtown. If you need to burn some time (and money) there's a record shop next door.
Crazy good, Creole style breakfast and brunch. Go get a biscuit the size of your head, but wouldn't recommend going in big groups.
The Spring Creek Trail runs from the foothills to the Poudre River. Grab something with wheels and go for an adventure. I suppose you could walk too. Janet uses this trail to go to work and gives it two thumbs way up!
The Poudre River trails runs along our beautiful Poudre River. Who could have guessed. One of favorite ways to traverse the city while catching beautiful scenery at the same time.
While the Mason trail might be the most boring trail in town, it is one of the most efficient ways to travel north/south. There is also a bus that runs up and down it most of the day. Ryan uses this trail to get to work and gives it two thumbs way up.
A beautiful botanical garden with tons of native Colorado plants and a butterfly pavilion. You should check this out. Trust us, Janet knows plants.
Supposedly horticulturalists need a spot to test out weird plant breeds. This is that place! Just hop off the Mason Trail and check it out.
Maxwell is one of Fort Collin's many natural areas. Maxwell is a great trail if you want a short, but grueling, commute to a great view! One of our favorite biking spots. Be sure to check out more of the natural areas in town.
Take a load off and watch some kayakers get after it in Fort Collin's white water park. Also a good swimming spot if you need to cool down. Both activities assume the Poudre River is full of water in August, but cross your fingers!
This is by far the top-rated and most put together course in Fort Collins. Killer 18 hole layout requiring a big arm. GREAT SIGNAGE!
There are many disc golf courses in town but this is Janet and Ryan's favorite. Short holes in the woods. Leave your distance drivers at home.
One of the major nodes in the network of ditches and canals that transfers water from the western slope! Perhaps more importantly, it's beautiful and a good spot for hiking, biking, climbing, and swimming.
The mouth of the Poudre Canyon (~15 minutes from the wedding venue) is the gateway to the playground of Fort Collins. Hiking, biking, climbing, skiing, and rafting (not so much the last two in August) can all be had in the Poudre Canyon. Simply taking a drive through the canyon is a fantastic time.
Picnic Rock is the first natural area as you ascend the Poudre Canyon. Good opportunities for taking a dip or just sitting by the river.
Gateway is another notable natural area that sits at the confluence of the Poudre River and North Fork Poudre River. This is one of the rafting put-ins so in near and dear to our hearts.
Walking around Old Town is a solid way to spend an afternoon. Lots of our favorite spots are here. Downtown Disney was apparently modeled after Old Town Fort Collins as well! How neat!
One of our favorite spots. Good people, good beer, and tucked away. Eclectic collection of beers. If Scotty is working there, say hello for us!
Second largest brewery in town. Employee owned. Excellent patio. Great for IPA drinkers.
Tucked away in a quite part of town with a great vibe. The "Sad Panda" is hands down the best stout ever made.
Out of all of our breweries, it's most likely you've had something from here. It has a great taproom/patio and the brewery tour is awesome.
Wins the award for cutest brewery in Fort Collins. Bonus points for being across the street from our wedding venue.
Super solid beer of all kinds. The pizza shop inside makes a mean Detroit-style pizza.
If you can't make it to the welcome party (at Prost Brewing) and like German beer, this is the place for you. If Joe is working, say hello for us!
Do we spend too much time/money at Music City Hot Chicken? Absolutely. Great food, good atmosphere, and friendly people. What else can you ask for? Go there! If Josh, Trey, Ian, Emily, or Evelyn are working, say hello for us!
Fantastic Indian food that falls in Janet and Ryan Bermuda Triangle (i.e., Music City Hot Chicken, Prost Brewing, Rally King Brewing)
Fort Collin's best and only punk dive bar. Their pizza is huge and delicious (Ryan's favorite) and the PBR is the best in town. If Marty is working, say hello for us!
Hip cocktail bar that's constantly spinning vinyl. Very hip. Very dark. They let Ryan play crazy music there once so they're cool. If Preston is working, say hello for us!
A great dingy dive. Cheap beer, pool tables, and bathroom stalls without doors. You're gunna love it.
The oldest bar in Fort Collins. They only have nine places to sit down, but will surely admit 30 people. A good way to end the night.
