We met each other 49 years ago at Southern Illinois University where Gary was a pole vaulter and Janet was a pompon girl! Our story is a friendship which became a forever commitment. Both of us are thankful for second chances and God leading us to each other after all of this time. For the past year one of us traveled to the other for visits while we slowly made plans for our future life together. Now here we are getting married and preparing for dual residency in Indiana and Texas! The significance of our October 4th wedding date is very near and dear to Janet's heart. Janet's parents would be celebrating 72 years of marriage if they were here today. We are thankful for the love they shared and hope we can live a life of love as they did.
