Question

What should we know about the altitude in Park City?

Answer

Park City sits at around 7,000 feet above sea level, which is much higher than most people are used to. At this altitude, the air is thinner, and it can take a little time for your body to adjust. Here are a few tips to keep in mind: *Breathing & Health: You might find yourself getting winded more easily, especially when walking uphill or engaging in physical activities. This is normal! If you feel short of breath, take it slow and give your body time to adjust. It’s also common to experience mild headaches or fatigue due to the altitude. *Stay Hydrated: The higher altitude can cause you to dehydrate more quickly, so drink plenty of water before and during your trip. Staying hydrated will help prevent altitude sickness and keep you feeling good. *Alcohol & Altitude: Alcohol can have a stronger effect at higher altitudes, so take it easy at first! You might feel tipsy faster than usual, so pace yourself and drink water in between cocktails to stay hydrated. *Tips for Adjusting: If you’re worried about altitude sickness, consider arriving a day or two early to give your body time to acclimate. Over-the-counter medications like ibuprofen can help with headaches, and oxygen supplements are available in local shops if you need an extra boost. We want everyone to feel their best and enjoy the celebration, so take care of yourselves and let us know if you need any tips or assistance while you’re here!

Question

What will the weather be like in June?

Answer

June in Park City can be a bit unpredictable, but generally, you can expect pleasant daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s (potential for low 80s!). Evenings can be cooler, dipping into the 50s, so we recommend bringing layers to stay comfortable no matter the forecast!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we’ve chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope you enjoy a night off and look forward to celebrating with you! (We understand you may want to make this a family trip, so we are working on finding nanny services to recommend for the evening of the wedding).

Question

Where is the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be taking place at River Bottoms Ranch. On the "Travel" portion of our website, you will see hotels we have blocked and where shuttles will be going.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding is black-tie optional. Ladies, please note you will be walking on the grass from time to time - dress your feet accordingly! The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors, please be prepared for potential colder weather. The reception is indoors in the barn.

Question

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

Absolutely! Despite the Utah location, we’ll have plenty of drinks flowing to help you celebrate. Cheers! Kanpai! Salud!

For all the days along the way
