It was a very hot day during the middle of the Jackson County Fair. Janelle, being her outgoing self, decided she was in need of a new friend. She turns 180° and set her eyes on Will. Will was standing by the fair building doors, waiting for a friend. Janelle and her friend walked up to him, and quite literally grabbed his arm, and said “Let’s go!” She then had him walk around the fair with her for about 15 minutes. He then said he needed to get back, so she said “Bye!” and off he went. The following week, Janelle went to archery practice where she saw a familiar face. Will drove up to the parking lot and join the practice, having just joined the team. She introduced herself again and this started a great friendship. A few months later they made things ‘official,’ and the rest is history!
In July, Will and Janelle to a trip to the Pacific North West. They would be spending a few days in the Olympic peninsula and then a few days in Seattle, WA. Their first night of vacation, they had been up for roughly 16-17 hours, with time changes and an early morning flight. They decided to go on a sunset hike up Hurricane Ridge. The two explored the ridge and saw a beautiful sunset. While hiking, Will found a side trail that went up a taller peak. So, they trekked upwards and once they got to the top, set up Janelle’s camera equipment to take some cute pictures together to share in their travel photo album. Will asked if he could be “camera man” and set up the perfect shot to capture the proposal. Once he set the timer, he joined Janelle’s side and then got on one knee.
