To have & to hold

We both swiped right! We matched on bumble in January 2018; Janell started the conversation with a simple "hey" and Sean responded but the conversation ended after a few surface level messages. A few months went by and Sean was at the "Fireside Lounge" with his friend, Allen. Allen took Sean's Phone and went through his Bumble account and noticed that Sean had matched with Janell. Allen decided to message Janell (on behalf of Sean) through the app and the rest is history. We exchanged phone numbers and met for our first date at Death & Taxes on March 14, 2018.

After a long year of COVID-19, we decided to take a trip to Seattle to visit our friends Kali and John. We made the decision to spend a few days in Leavenworth, Washington; a small German town just a few hours north of Seattle. Once we arrived in Leavenworth, we went on a beautiful hike. The path was alongside a river and ran through gorgeous trees. Little did Janell know, Sean had a ring in his pocket and Kali had a bottle of champagne in her bag ready to celebrate. Sean had no idea when he was going to pop the question, he went with the "when I'll know, I'll know" mindset. We came across a bridge that had the best view of the flowing river. Sean told Kali to take a photo of us from the other side of the bridge and after we posed for the photo, Sean got down on one knee and asked Janell to marry him. We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of life with you all!
