FAQs

First and foremost, please ensure your passport doesn't expire within 6 months from your return date back to your home country and double-check your country's travel requirements. We want you to make it to Mexico, so we can celebrate with you!
Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

No, a car is not needed. We have contracted a transportation service to get guests to/from the hotel and to/from the wedding at Puerto Raíz. San Jose del Cabo & Cabo San Lucas have Uber services that are reliable and cost-effective. When visiting, we found Uber was the cheapest and quickest option.

Question

Where is the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

We will share our vows and say "I Do" at Puerto Raíz, a natural sanctuary near downtown San José del Cabo. A cocktail hour at the bar with dinner and dancing under the stars to follow, all at the same location. Shuttles will be provided at no cost to guests to and from Hilton Los Cabos. Please note, the Hilton is approximately a 20 minute drive to Puerto Raíz.

Question

How will I get to the wedding?

Answer

We will have private shuttles transporting guests to and from Puerto Raíz, picking up at Hilton Los Cabos. If you're staying at another hotel or Airbnb, you can take an Uber or taxi to our pick-up location or the wedding venue.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free (aside from a few of our favorite little family members), and take the opportunity to celebrate in style! Note, Hilton Los Cabos is family friendly! If you have questions, please reach out to the bride or groom.

Question

What will the weather be like in January?

Answer

The weather in Cabo is dry and warm almost all year round. In January, the average daytime temperature is 78 degrees F. The average temperature at night is 54 degrees F.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party: Dressy Casual (think resort chic!) Wedding Day: Cabo Cocktail Attire (Bright, colorful attire encouraged!!!!)

Question

What forms of payment are accepted in Cabo?

Answer

The currency in Mexico is the Peso. All major credit cards are accepted at most places (sometimes American Express is not). If you need to take out cash in Mexico, use the ATM at the hotel or bank. You will get a better exchange rate. ATM machines dispense cash in Pesos, not US dollars. If you want, you can request Pesos from your bank in the US. Usually, your bank will need 2-3 weeks notice for your request.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

No, unless specified in your invitation. We have a limited amount of space at our venue. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be outside. Please dress accordingly.

Question

When will the bride and groom arrive to/depart from the Hilton?

Answer

As of right now, we will be staying at the Hilton from January 14, 2026 to January 19, 2026.
