FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jane Radecki and Reuben Kurian
We know weddings come with lots of little questions, so we’ve put together this FAQ page to make things easy. From dress code to travel details, you’ll find all the answers here. If we missed something, just reach out, we’re happy to help!
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! We kindly ask our guests to join us in garden formal attire. For women, this means long dresses, gowns, elevated sarees, or elevated lehengas. For men, a suit with a tie is appropriate. Overall, the goal is polished and elegant, while still comfortable enough to dance the night away. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all dressed to the nines! Tip: If you’re debating between two outfits, go with the dressier one, it’s a wedding! Our ceremony will take place outdoors, so if you'd like to wear heels, wedges or block heels are recommended. We kindly ask that our guests refrain from wearing white for any of our events this weekend (i.e., white dresses, white blazers, white jumpsuits, etc.). Question

What is the dress code for Friday?

Answer

Dress Code: Summer Cocktail For Men: Jackets, dress pants, and no ties for men For Women: Summer cocktail dresses/ jumpsuits/ skirts Please refrain from wearing shorts, jeans, or white to any weekend events.

Question

What time does the ceremony begin?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 pm EST. We ask out of courtesy that everyone please be seated prior to 4:30 pm EST.

Question

Can we arrive early to the wedding venue?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not arrive before 4:15 PM. Before the ceremony begins, we will be spending some private time together, as well as taking a few photos with our wedding party. Arriving at or after 4:15 PM will allow us to enjoy these special moments before celebrating with all of you. When you arrive, we'll have refreshments waiting for you to enjoy before the ceremony begins. Thank you so much for helping us preserve this little bit of quiet before the festivities start—we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Is parking available?

Answer

Yes! We will have parking available on site for the wedding ceremony and reception. For the welcome party the night before, parking is available throughout downtown Ann Arbor in street spaces and public parking structures. However, Friday evenings can be busy, and ongoing construction may make parking a bit more limited than usual. We recommend taking an Uber or Lyft, walking if you're staying downtown, or allowing a little extra time if you plan to drive.

Question

When do we have to RSVP by?

Answer

Our RSVP has now closed. As we have now finalized our guest count and submitted numbers to our vendors, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate any additional responses or changes to existing RSVPs. If we did not receive your RSVP by the deadline, we have regrettably marked you as unable to attend. While we wish we could celebrate with everyone, we are unable to make exceptions after the RSVP deadline has passed. Thank you for your understanding and for helping us ensure a smooth planning process.

Question

Is there transportation provided?

Answer

We will be providing transportation home at the end of the night, after the reception, for guests staying in our room block hotels: Weber’s, Vanguard, and The Graduate. Two shuttles will begin running at 10:00 PM and will continue running throughout the remainder of the evening. The shuttles will run on the half hour as needed. If no guests are waiting for a shuttle at a scheduled departure time, that shuttle will not run. Guests are welcome to ride individually or in groups — simply let the driver know which hotel you are headed to. The shuttles will stop running once the event concludes, so please plan accordingly if you would like transportation back to your hotel.

Question

I am staying in an Airbnb. Can the shuttle take me home?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. The shuttles are reserved for guests staying in our room block hotels, and we are unable to accommodate transportation to individual Airbnb's or off-site locations.

Question

Are photos allowed at the ceremony?

Answer

No. We will be having an unplugged ceremony and kindly ask that guests refrain from taking photos or videos during the ceremony itself. We have hired an incredible photography team to capture the moment, and we would love for everyone to be fully present with us as we exchange our vows. Because our wedding is being hosted at a private residence, we also kindly ask guests to respect our family's privacy by refraining from posting photos or videos of our house on social media. We welcome you to take as many photos as you would like in the reception tent and throughout the celebration; we simply ask that images of the house itself not be shared publicly online. Thank you for helping us create a meaningful, present, and private celebration for our family and friends.

Question

Who Do you Recommend for Airport Transportation?

Answer

We have partnered with D&D Executive Transportation to help coordinate preferred pricing for airport transfers for our guests. If you would like to utilize this service, you can contact Scott Archer at 734-398-3331 and let him know that you are part of the Radecki/Kurian Wedding. https://ddexec-trans.com/ Of course, rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are also readily available at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW).

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we absolutely love children, we have chosen to keep our wedding celebration adults-only. As it will be an evening event, we hope this allows everyone to relax and fully enjoy the celebration. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Question

How will I know if I have a plus one?

Answer

If you have been given a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation. We are so grateful to be celebrating with loved ones traveling from near and far, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we thoughtfully manage our guest count for the day.

Question

I cannot make it, but someone else in my family can attend in my place. Can invitations be swapped or transferred?

Answer

No. Invitations were extended to specific individuals and are non-transferable.
