Places to Stay
IMPORTANT: Please note that Indigenous People's Day Weekend falls during "peak foliage" time in Vermont. While we are hopeful that this will make for a beautiful weekend for our guests, it also means that Vermont will be very busy. We highly recommend booking lodging sooner rather than later. Below you will find the names of some local inns and a link to area AirBnbs. These are likely your best option but we've also listed two hotels, which are more expensive, but can be good options for accessibility issues, etc. This list is meant to give guidance but certainly there are MANY other wonderful options in the area you may find that are not listed here. (Please note that SOME places will have 3 night minimums given the long weekend.) Some Orientation Help: Our wedding is taking place in Moretown. The town directly south is Waitsfield. The town directly north is Waterbury (where our Welcome Drinks will be). To stay close: look for places in Moretown, Waitsfield, or Waterbury, VT. For the non-Vermonters, please know that 20 minutes is a standard travel time in this area. It probably is about 10 miles worth of road, and approximately the same number of buildings/houses. Options that are slightly further away: Stowe, which is a major tourist destination (and for good reason!), is about 35 minutes north of Bliss Ridge (the venue). If you're willing to travel slightly further you'll find a lot of lodging options here (including the famous Trapp Family Lodge). Montpelier, Vermont's capital, is 25 minutes east. And Burlington is about an hour north on 89. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions regarding the area and lodging.

We are looking into organizing some shuttles for guests on our wedding night. It is very important to us that you enjoy yourself AND get home safely. If you are even potentially interested in a shuttle option please indicate that when you RSVP. It will also ask where you're staying. We will then do some organizing and be in touch closer to the wedding! We can NOT guarantee there will be a safe option for young children (ie car seats) on potential shuttles and ask that you make sure you arrange for safe transport of your beloved offspring.

Nearby Airports
Burlington Airport (BTV) is the closest option for air travel and is one hour northwest on I-89 from the venue. For those of you driving up with CT friends, Bradley Airport is 3 hours south of the venue. For a larger airport option Logan Airport in Boston (BOS) is 3 hours southeast from the venue. And Manchester NH is 2 hours and 15 minutes southeast of the venue, which may be a particularly good option for those of you flying Southwest Airlines. There are rental car options at each of these locations.
