Question

When should I RSVP by?When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 1 2026. This helps us finalize all the details and ensure we have enough seats, meals, and champagne for everyone. We truly appreciate you letting us know as soon as you can.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony? What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving at the Omni at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins so that we can transport you to the venue, settle in, and be ready for when we walk down the aisle. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:30 PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we ask that you dress in formal attire, though tuxedos aren’t expected. For men, a suit is perfect (ties are optional). For women, we’d love to see bright colors, pastels, or floral patterns to celebrate the day.

Question

Can I bring a date?Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family. Due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate guests who are listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, they are welcome to join. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Are kids welcome?Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of children in the wedding party. We hope you enjoy a night off to relax and celebrate with us.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception? Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! There is parking at the venue but it is EXTREMELY limited and unmarked. If driving please coordinate with other guests and carpool. Another option is to use the Omni shuttle service from the hotel. Please plan to get there no later than 3:45 PM as the shuttle may have delays. Another fun idea would be to rent a golf cart at the Omni and use that. The venue is only a 2 mile ride from the Omni Resort. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation to keep everything running smoothly.

Question

Do we have to stay at the Omni?Do we have to stay at the Omni?

Answer

No, you’re welcome to stay wherever works best for you. While we have a room block at the Omni for convenience, there are also nearby Airbnbs, a Marriott, and other local hotels if you prefer. Note: On site activities like pool, beach, beach yoga would be for Omni guests only.

Question

Do I need to rent a car?Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

You don’t have to rent a car unless you want to. If you’re flying into Jacksonville Airport, it’s about a 45-minute drive to the Omni. You can rent a car, take an Uber or Lyft (usually around $80-100 each way), or arrange a private shuttle. Once you’re at the Omni, there’s a complimentary shuttle to take you around the resort for wedding events and activities. However, since the rehearsal dinner and rehearsal after party is in downtown Fernandina, you will need transportation to get there if you’re attending. There are Ubers and Lyfts available on Amelia Island, including pickups from the Omni, but keep in mind wait times can be longer than in big cities—sometimes 10-20 minutes or more, especially late at night. Local trips are usually $10-25. If you plan to explore the island, visit downtown, or prefer flexibility, having a rental car will be convenient. Otherwise, you can rely on rideshares and shuttles for most wedding activities. Another option is renting a golf cart at the Omni, this is another fun, easy way to travel the resort grounds at ease.

Question

What if I'm running late to the ceremony? What if I'm running late to the ceremony?

Answer

Don't worry, it happens! If you are running late and ceremony already started at 4:30 PM we ask that you wait until 5 PM to come to Walkers. The ceremony is not far from the parking lot and any car parking or shuttle coming will disrupt the wedding. Thanks for understanding!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one that is different then the one named on my invitation? Can I bring a plus-one that is different then the one named on my invitation?

Answer

We totally understand that plans change, but we’re only able to accommodate the guest listed on your invitation. It’s really important to us that we celebrate this day surrounded by the people we know and hold near and dear. If your original plus-one can’t make it, you’re still very welcome to come solo—we’d love to see you there!
