Cambodian Wedding Ceremony

10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Bride & Groom's Home
4752 N Crystal Ave, Fresno, CA 93705

Dress Code: Dressy Casual

A typical Cambodian wedding is comprised of different ceremonies throughout the day, starting in the morning and ending in the early evening. During the ceremonies, guests normally fluctuate between watching, participating in the ceremonies, and taking a break and enjoying the food. Each ceremony is about an hour long, but with all the accompanying customary outfit changes, photographs and breaks, the ceremonies could take all day. Guests are invited to attend and can partake in a single ceremony or spend the whole day with us. Either way, we appreciate you celebrating us!

Wedding Reception

Sat, May 7, 2022, 6:30 pm - Sun, May 8, 2022, 12:00 am

Dress Code: Evening Formal Attire

Due to limited space, we are having an adults-only reception. The only children attending are those who are part of our wedding party. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us. What to expect during our wedding reception: We will be having a traditional multi-course Cambodian family style dinner. Each course will be served and placed in the middle to share. At a certain time during dinner, the bridal party will walk around each table to greet and give thanks to the attending guests. During this time, it is also customary for the guests to "jong daiy" when the bride and groom arrives at the their table. “Jong daiy”, or in other words, is when guests are seen handing money gifts in envelopes to the new couple. Some guests will make the new couple exchange kisses or complete tasks in order to get the envelopes. Sometimes the requested tasks are silly and a good spectacle! As the evening continues, so does the celebration. So lets eat, drink, dance and be merry!
