No trip to this part of Northern Michigan is complete without a stop at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Two of our favorite hikes are Pyramid Point and Empire Bluff (both are short hikes with spectacular views)
Probably Jane's favorite activity, just hanging out at the beach! Since the water levels are high and beaches are disappearing, we recommend checking out the beaches in Frankfort, Empire, or Glen Haven
