4.8 mile total hike with gradual incline through the forest and views of the lake at you climb up 816 ft in elevation. The Cougar Crest Trail ends at the junction of the world-famous Pacific Crest Trail. From here you can continue to Bertha Peak (Jacob and I just did) a steep .75 mile hike with sweeping views of Big Bear Valley and the high desert.
