Please RSVP by August 15, 2024.
If you would like to bring someone with you that is not specially named on the invitation, please reach out to Jen and/or Michael directly so we can verify our ability to accommodate you based on venue capacity and catering limitations.
We invite you to celebrate your relationship and the love you share by making our wedding a date night, however we also understand that childcare can be a limiting factor. If you need to bring your kiddo and they are not specifically named on the invitation, please reach out to Jen and/or Michael directly so that we can make accommodations.
Officially the dress code is smart casual. For gentlemen, dress pants or chinos with a collared shirt are perfect, while ladies can opt for a sundress or a blouse paired with tailored trousers or a skirt. You also could opt for your fancy jeans and dancin' boots and would not be out of place.
Yes! Pocahontas State Park has both cabins and campsites available for reservations if you’d like to lean into our camping/outdoors theme and stay on site. See our Travel page for details.
Yes! There are several hotel choices in Chester, VA that are only a short drive from the park. See our Travel page for details.
We’re no stranger to allergies. Please remind us of your particular needs when you RSVP so that we’re sure not to send you to the hospital the day of the party.
We’re making a weekend of it and kicking off celebrations with a welcome camp fire and s’mores on Friday evening. More details for the specific location and time coming soon!
State Park parking fees have been covered for the day of our event. Tell the front gate that you’re a member of the Merritt-Kesler wedding for access. UPDATE: Ceremony is at the Old Homestead near the Swift Creek banquet hall (reception site). You only need to park once!
We recommend being on site by 3:15-3:30 PM so that you can make your way to the ceremony location and park in plenty of time to find a seat before our 4 PM start. There is plenty to do in the park if you arrive early!
