Our Story
Hi All! We thought we would share our journey with you since we haven't been able to see many of you in so long.
We met online on an app call "Looking Upwards." We were extra skeptical that it would actually work and to be honest there were times that we thought the app was a little weird. Jake had swiped right on Maria, but it took a few days before she also swiped on him - boom - matched.
Before you knew it we were driving back and forth to see each other. It wasn't long before the two of us felt like we weren't ever planning on letting go. In January 2021 Jake asked Maria to be his GF. Some months later we were ready for the next step & the move to NY happened.
It's extra cliche, but the famous saying "when you know you know," well that obviously happened to us lol Jake asked Maria to be his wife right after a concert in downtown Manhattan at Central Park. We had a private elopement in November and now we can't wait to celebrate with everyone!

This was the night we got engaged! We drove over to a hipster town in Brooklyn afterwards. You can't see it really in the pic, but we're standing in front of the Brooklyn bridge.
