Our attire recommendation for the ceremony and reception is cocktail attire. Long and mid-length dresses and colorful shirts with a suit encouraged. No white dresses or jeans, please! There is a short dirt road downhill to the ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on the grass. Do not wear stiletto heals, consider bringing along a sturdy shoe option.
The only public access (besides hiking) to the ceremony site is to take the Centennial combination lift to the top of the mountain. You will be able to choose between taking the gondola or the chair lift to the top. From there, follow the signs to the ceremony and cocktail hour. Members of our family will be waiting at the base of the lift to hand out lift tickets starting at 4pm. You will need this ticket to ride to the ceremony.
Attire recommendation is elevated casual. For women, think sundresses or summery sets. For men, think polos or button downs with shorts or pants. Consider bringing along a sweater or jacket for when the sun goes down.
While we love your kids, this weekend of events will be adults only.
The hotels are around 8,100 feet above sea level and our ceremony and reception will be taking place at 10,200 feet above sea level. Altitude is no joke! Drink plenty of water once you arrive and be cautious with alcohol consumption for the first 1-2 days. If possible, consider staying in Denver a day or two prior to traveling to the mountains to reduce the risk of altitude sickness. We completely understand if any friends or family have health conditions that preclude attending our ceremony and reception.
We recommend using free public transportation or on-demand shuttle through the Village Connect App. See the travel recommendations tab for the link to the schedules.
Smoking is prohibited on the mountain with the exception of designated areas due to high wildfire risk in the summer. Please pay close attention to wildfire advisories and use designated smoking areas.
Our venue will do everything possible to hold the ceremony outdoors. The weather in Colorado can be unpredictable. It is possible that the ceremony may be moved up or delayed due to bad weather. The lift will not run in lighting and high winds. We are working with our coordinators on a way to notify guests of itinerary changes, if needed.
