Travel

We know that attending an international wedding is a big ask, but we truly hope it feels like a vacation for you just as much as it’s a celebration for us! Below are some tips on travel, accommodation, and transportation. Of course, these are just suggestions—so take them with a grain of salt and do what works best for you.

Flight

USA to Palma

Palma is a smaller airport, so there are no direct flights from the U.S. to Mallorca. However, there are plenty of flights into major European cities, and getting to Mallorca typically requires just one connection. It could even be a fun opportunity to plan a layover in a city you’ve always wanted to visit! Just be sure to check whether a connection requires changing airports—that can add an unexpected layer of complexity you might prefer to avoid.

Flight

UK to Palma

From our research, non-stop flights to Palma leave from smaller English airports! Keep an eye out for flights from Stansted, London City, and Gatwick!

Travel Note

Transportation

Transportation on the island can be a challenge, so here are a couple of tips! Uber and commercial taxi services haven’t really made it to the island yet, so we recommend renting a car or arranging a private transfer to your accommodation. Transportation to events- UM Chambao has plenty of parking, so if you decide to rent a car for your trip, you'll be able to park there with no issues. Can Estades has very limited parking, so we’ll be working to organize shuttle services, private transfers, etc., for guests. More details will come closer to the date! Our main concern is ensuring that none of our guests drive under the influence. Weddings can be such great fun, but your safety is our top priority. Please drink responsibly—especially since you'll be in a new city with more challenging driving conditions than you may be used to.

Travel Note

Accommodation

There are plenty of great places to stay on the island. While our experience is somewhat limited, one thing we can confidently recommend is a classic Mallorcan finca—you really can’t go wrong! If you're concerned about proximity to the venues, we suggest staying in either Palma or Calvià. They’re two of the larger towns and are conveniently located near the airport. If you’re looking for somewhere beautiful but a bit more tucked away, Sóller is a great option!
