It was a hot day at the beginning of April, 2016 when Kaitlin and Jackson first met. A group of friends decided to go boating and both were invited. Kaitlin, not knowing everyone there, immediately pointed to Jackson and asked her two best friends, "who is THAT?" They answered, "who? Jackson?" Just moments later, a girl walked over to Jackson and sat down next to him. Needless to say, that was the end of that... Until it wasn't. Fast forward over the course of the next 3 years: Jackson and Kaitlin stayed good friends at a distance (77 miles, to be exact), seeing each other over winter and summer breaks when they weren't at WSU and GU. Eventually, they developed feelings for one another. They started dating January 12th, 2019 and have been inseparable since. Jackson proposed on August 14th, 2020 at Tolmie State Park, which is where his parents took their engagement photos years ago. 2020 turned out to be a great year for them! Kaitlin and Jackson are SO excited to tie the knot in May and head to Disney World for their honeymoon!
